Damian Lillard is on another level right now. The All-Star PG is averaging close to 50 points per game over his past six contests. The Portland Trail Blazers have won four in a row and are finally climbing out of the basement of the West and into the playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets remain in the top 4 in the conference, but it’s been a grind given how many injuries they’ve had to endure. Michael Porter Jr. is ruled out Tuesday though Jamal Murray has a shot at returning to the lineup.

I talked a bit about this game on DK Live’s The Sweat earlier in the day. I think the spread is a bit high in favor of the Nuggets, given how well Dame is playing and the injuries in the front court for Denver. Just the way both teams are playing, you’d think this would be more of a toss up, a spread that’s close to -1 or -1.5 for the Nuggets. Because of that, and from the splits, we can see value in the Blazers.
Lillard’s insane run — I can imagine — is the main reason people are banking on the OVER here. 226 isn’t an overly high number and the Blazers have hit that in six straight games. That’s essentially the entire stretch of Dame’s scoring binge. If it continues, the OVER has a very high chance of hitting. With how the Nuggets are playing and the injuries, their defense has been less consistent lately.
Overall, I like the Blazers on the spread and moneyline straight up. I also agree with where the money is going by taking the OVER.
