UPDATE: Feb. 4, 10:38 p.m. — The Warriors and T-Wolves have disengaged from trade talks surrounding D’Angelo Russell, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported late Tuesday.

UPDATE: Feb. 4, 2:29 p.m. — Here’s the latest from Russell on how he’s handling all the trade rumors:

The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves have been talking trade for D’Angelo Russell for what seems like a few months now. Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, a four-way deal involving both the Hawks and Rockets is now on the table.

This appears to be the same deal The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor alluded to in a report from Monday, stating that the Rockets are trying to send Clint Capela to the Hawks, using the T-Wolves and Warriors in talks so that Houston can acquire Robert Covington from Minnesota. The logistics of the deal seem very complicated, and we don’t normally see four-team deals come to fruition. O’Connor also reported that talks had stalled. Woj makes them seem like they’re still a possibility. Overall, a lot of this just seems like deadline media fodder to get us all worked up. The deadline is Thursday at 3:00 p.m. ET, so there’s not much time left for teams to work out a deal.
