Top NBA DFS value plays on DraftKings, Feb. 3

We go over some bargain options at $5K or under for Monday’s 10-game slate on DK.

Welcome back from your six-month NFL binge. I’m your NBA fantasy basketball and DFS vessel, Benjamin Zweiman. Here, I’ll be taking you through some value plays at $5K or under for Monday’s main 10-game slate on DraftKings. We have a ton of injuries to get to. I mean a lot. Like, everybody is hurt. That’s not true. But it’s a lot, you guys. Kyrie Irving is out. Kemba Walker is out. Trae Young and D’Angelo Russell are questionable. Luka Doncic is out. Those are just five guards, we haven’t even hit on any other positions yet. Let’s take a look at the value plays.

Reggie Jackson, PG, DET @ MEM ($4,700)

Death. Taxes. Reggie Jackson being priced under $5K arbitrarily. This is the seventh time Jackson is priced under $5K since returning from injury. He’s returned value in all but one of those games. That was with Derrick Rose healthy. Rose is also out (another PG injury) for the Pistons, so Jackson should see well over 30 minutes in a good matchup against the Grizzlies. Reggie is more of a chalk play than a GPP value, but overall, he has a good chance at making due on his price.

Jeff Teague, PG/SG, ATL vs. BOS ($3,900)

Young may be sidelined tonight and we already know that Cam Reddish is out. DeAndre Hunter is also questionable, so a lot of injuries to the Atlanta back court. If all there are out, Teague will have to run the show. Normally we’d be off the Hawks going up against the Celtics, but no Walker and most likely no Marcus Smart for Boston. Teague should be more aggressive on offense with Young sidelined. At this price, we’d be staring down an easy cash-game salary-saver.

Caris LeVert, PG/SF, BKN vs. PHX ($4,700)

Kyrie Irving is out again, so lineups will pivot to Spencer Dinwiddie ($8,000) on tonight’s slate. Obviously, Dinwiddie doesn’t fit our value criteria, so LeVert is the guy we can target. He should see more than around 20 minutes tonight. The Nets will also need LeVert to be more active on offense behind Dinwiddie and the Suns are another strong matchup on this slate.

Maxi Kleber, PF/C, DAL @ IND ($5,000)

So the Mavericks could be without Doncic, Dwight Powell and Kristaps Porzingis tonight vs. the Pacers. Kleber is still priced down since he hasn’t been all that productive. The good thing is, his ceiling is high. We saw with Porzingis out on Saturday that Kleber can provide big value. He scored 18 points with six rebounds for 39 DKFP. Even if Porzingis is healthy, Kleber will need to soak up front court minutes against a tough front line. I’d lean more of a GPP play, mostly because I worry about Kleber’s floor a bit.
