The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl 54 on Sunday, and there were several bets regarding the results of the game on DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at how the point spread and point total stacked up to the actual result.

Kansas City was favored by 1.5 points in this one and covered the spread with room to spare. The Chiefs eclipsed their season average of 28.2 points per game by a narrow margin. The 49ers’ dynamic rushing offense was held in check and fell short of the 29.9 points it averaged during the regular season.

The over/under for total points in the game was 53.5, and that missed. Both teams have explosive offenses, but got off to slow starts. Each side only scored one touchdown in the first half, and the score was 10-10 at the break. San Francisco went on a 10-0 run in the third quarter, but fell short on account of Kansas City’s 21-0 run in the fourth. The Chiefs were -122 on the money line in claiming the win.

The Chiefs claimed their first world championship in 50 years after mounting an impressive late-game comeback, and Andy Reid won claimed his first championship with his 222nd career win. This could be the beginning of a dominant dynasty in Kansas City, centered around a dynamic offense led by Patrick Mahomes and a host of other dangerous weapons.
