We made it to Friday. It wasn’t too crazy of a DFS week, nope, just a handful of injuries to key players like LeBron James and Joel Embiid, nothing to see here. Last night’s slate didn’t go as according to plan, though the Sixers value plays did come through for us. After a four-gamer, we’re back to a heavy 10-game slate Friday night in the daily fantasy basketball world. Let’s dive into some top targets on DraftKings.
Point Guard
Mike Conley, UTA vs. WAS, $5,100 — We thought Mike Conley was going to be benched last game against the Celtics. Instead, he ended up starting and played 33 minutes, scoring 15 points and 28 DKFP. Now, Conley and the Jazz face the Wizards at home. Again, I’m done talking about Washington’s defensive woes. If Conley is going to see over 30 minutes in this matchup, I think he’s got a lot of pop at this price. There’s a bit of risk what with the news the past few days. I think that is mitigated by his low price.

Shooting Guard
Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN @ ATL, $7,900 — We got burned by Dinwiddie at $8,000 against the Wizards the other night. Caris LeVert’s improved play has sort of cut into Dinwiddie’s ceiling. We’ve got another good matchup Friday against the Hawks, who play up in pace and can’t defend the perimeter. Dinwiddie’s price dropped a bit, which is a plus. Something’s gotta give and I think this is a game Dinwiddie can go for 30+ points in. His ownership should be sub-10% in GPPs given the variance on a 10-gamer.

Small Forward
Brandon Ingram, NOP vs. CLE, $7,500 — The Cavaliers have looked better on defense and are coming off a nice win over the Sixers — granted without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. The Pelicans head home in need of a win and Ingram is coming off 34 points against his former team. We had been waiting for a ceiling game from Ingram at sub-$7K salary and now he’s back up at $7.5K. I still don’t think the Cavs can run with the Pels and this is another good spot to use Ingram in tournaments.

Power Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. OKC, $11,600 — With Luka Doncic and Trae Young both questionable, this could line up for Giannis to be the only player priced above $10K on the slate. If that’s the case, I think he may be a fade due to ownership being too high. Even so, I think this is a solid price on The Greek Freak against the Thunder at home — OKC is on the second of a back-to-back. The Thunder lack size to match up with Giannis and he’s been cleaning the glass lately with at least 14 boards in four straight since the break.

Center
Deandre Ayton, PHX vs. DET, $8,100 — Ayton may be my favorite GPP play on the night. The Pistons are rolling out a front court of John Henson and Christian Wood. They were just worked by Jerami Grant for 29 points. Imagine the type of game Ayton could end up having tonight. The former No. 1 overall pick has been pretty dominant since the middle of January. Over the past 15 games, Ayton is averaging 20.8 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks, shooting 56.1% from the floor. His price doesn’t really reflect the type of production he’s providing.
