Indiana Pacers G Victor Oladipo is questionable to play in Thursday’s game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers due to back spasms. Oladipo has been working his way back from a torn quad that caused him to miss the first half of the regular season. He returned back on Jan. 29, but has been used in a limited fashion in eight games since returning. The Pacers have been able to maintain their playoff seeding despite Oladipo’s status. They’re coming off an easy win over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.
Fantasy basketball and betting analysis: Victor Oladipo injury
With Dipo sidelined, we’ve seen more of the Holiday Bros. Aaron Holiday has been starting and played a team-high 30 minutes against the Hornets. Indiana has taken a more balanced lineup approach with 10 players seen double-digit minutes. That should be the case Thursday vs. Portland if Dipo remains sidelined. Even if Oladipo returns, I’d imagine a minutes restriction will be in place. He’s not a reliable fantasy basketball or DFS option right now.
As for the betting side, I don’t think Dipo’s status impacts the lines as much. He isn’t playing at an elite level. It may move the needle slightly, but the Pacers are a deeper and stronger team overall than the Blazers, so I think they’ll be favored to win against a weak team at home.
