Georgetown Hoyas sophomore guard Mac McClung is questionable for Wednesday night’s game at Marquette with a foot injury. McClung is the team’s second leading scorer, averaging 15.7 points per game.
With the return of Omer Yurtseven in their last game against DePaul, the Hoyas are just one step closer to getting their starting five back on the floor. McClung missed the tilt with the Blue Demons, and it’s been a rough season in terms of missing key players in big games for Patrick Ewing and his charges as they haven’t really had a full roster since the beginning of conference play.
McClung is an 80.2% free throw shooter, with a usage rate amongst the top 100 players in America. His presence and health would make a big difference for a team that needs some stability and shooting in the backcourt.
Georgetown is currently listed as 1.5 point underdogs at home on DraftKings Sportsbook to a Xavier team that is on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.
