Wide receiver rankings for XFL Week 4

We take you through some of the best wide receivers going into Week 4 of the XFL for fantasy football.

Receivers are your no-doubt touchdown makers in the XFL, as there have been 16 rushing touchdowns (five by quarterbacks) to 37 passing touchdowns. Picking the right receivers each week for your DFS or fantasy lineups is still a challenge of course, but a few have separated from the chaff.

Cam Phillips is of course your league leader in every receiving category after back-to-back three touchdown games and a massive 194 receiving yards last week. After Week 1, it looked like we’d see the Roughnecks spread the ball around a bit more but Phillips has taken over with Khalil Lewis as the only other receiver that we can trust. Until the league finds a way to slow Phillips down, he’s your de facto No. 1.

Tre McBride finally got on the field last week and dominated with 100+ yards and two touchdowns, as Josh Johnson was accurate on all six of his targets. Those six targets led the team, but McBride still only played 16 snaps coming off injury. Nelson Spruce was knocked down to just four targets compared to his 15 and nine through the first two weeks. Spruce still caught three for 75 yards, but now it is being reported that he is out with an undisclosed injury. McBride should see an increased role anyway, so he will take up some of Spruce’s work while Adonis Jennings and Jordan Smallwood look to get more action this week.

Donald Parham has taken the best tight end in the league mantle and run with it. Since getting Landry Jones back, Parham has caught 10-of-18 targets for 187 yards and three touchdowns in those two games. This week he takes on a Roughnecks defense that has given up big points despite their 3-0 record. Flynn Nagel is second on the team with 15 targets through three games.

Austin Proehl reasserted himself in Week 3 and also reasserted himself in the rankings. Brandon Silvers isn’t the second-coming of Joe Montana, but he’s been targeting Proehl and Keenan Reynolds enough to keep them up in the rankings.
