UPDATE 7:47 p.m.

North Carolina Tar Heels junior forward Garrison Brooks is listed as questionable with an undisclosed illness for tonight’s game with the North Carolina State Wolfpack in Chapel Hill at the Smith Center. He has at times been the best player for UNC, averaging 15.2 points, 8.5 boards and 2.1 assists per game.

Brooks also missed the last game for UNC, forcing the Tar Heels to start their ninth different lineup of 2019-20. They lost 72-55 at Louisville to continue a miserable season, falling to 10-17 overall and 3-13 in the ACC, which is last place in the conference. Nine different players have missed a total of 85 games for the Heels this season.

As of now UNC is a -2 favorite at home, but an announcement or more information on Brooks’ status will for sure move that number. No UNC player has played more minutes than Brooks this year, and his impact to both the game and the number is quite large.
