Following a weather-delayed and chaotic Daytona 500, and a terrifying wreck on the last lap involving Ryan Newman (who appears to be ok), the NASCAR Cup Series flies across America for the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The only thing more crowded than the finish at this race might be the traffic in and out of Northeast Las Vegas on race day, with plenty of top cars competing for the top of the grid. Let’s take a look at some of the best bets available at the track this weekend with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Brad Keselowski +1200
He’s got the best finishing average at this track the last four races, averaging third across the finish line, including a win in the September event in 2018. And his run at Daytona last week showed his car can run up top in terms of horsepower for the 2020.And with three guys still in front of him in terms of price, there’s value here as well.
If you’re looking for more of a sure thing, Keselowski has six Top 3s in his last nine races at LVMS, so that +150 for a podium finish seems pretty tempting.
Joey Logano +800
For many of the same reasons above. He’s also got a recent win here (March 2019), and averages 5.25 in his last four races at LVMS. He’s also third overall on intermediate tracks over the last two seasons. By far the most beloved driver on the circuit (we kid), Logano clearly isn’t afraid to do what it takes to cross the line first. He also hasn’t finished out of the Top 10 in his last eight races here.
William Byron +2500
Got spun out by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at Daytona to finish dead last, but if you just bet Byron every week until he wins a race, you’ll probably end up profitable this season. Won his duel at Daytona, and led six laps before finishing seventh on his last trip to the desert. Plenty of value available on a driver that has yet to win his first race.
Aric Almirola +2500
A lot of price for a guy with three Top 10s in his last four races here, and the tenth-best driver on intermediate tracks the last two seasons. He’s got plenty of car as he showed running up front at Daytona before being caught up in a wreck outside of his control. With three Top 10s in his last four starts at LVMS, +140 on him finishing in the top quadrant of the 40 car field is a great value play.
Here are the updated odds as of 7:00 a.m. this morning at DraftKings Sportsbook.
