Prior to the Super Bowl, the NFL honored deceased Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe and Gianna Bryant, the other seven individuals who passed in the helicopter crash, while also honoring recently deceased Hall of Famer Chris Doleman. The tribute featured both teams lining up on their respective 24-yard lines and having a moment of silence.
Prior to the game, San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman arrived at the game wearing a Kobe Bryant jersey. It’s a good bet we’ll see other tributes from players throughout the game.
