The 49ers got on the board first with a field goal after a 62-yard drive. They had forced the Chiefs to punt on KC’s opening drive. The Chiefs responded however with a 15-play, 75 yard touchdown drive to take a 7-3 lead in the closing minutes of the first quarter. Mahomes threw for 40 yards and rushed for the touchdown. Damien Williams has 32 rushing yards. For the 49ers, Jimmy Garoppolo has 29 passing yards and Deebo Samuel leads the team with 39 rushing yards.
