Patrick Mahomes name Super Bowl 54 MVP.

He becomes the youngest quarterback to ever win the MVP.

Chiefs 31 - 49ers 20

Damien Williams puts the icing on the cake with a 38-yard touchdown run. The Chiefs will win their first Super Bowl in 50 years.

Jimmy Garoppolo can’t lead his team in the 2-minute drill down four and is stopped on 4th down.

Chiefs 24 - 49ers 20

Patrick Mahomes hits Damien Williams for a 5-yard touchdown to take the lead with 2:26 left. Williams appears to step out of bounds but the nose of the ball was right on the line making the touchdown tough to overturn.

49ers 20 - Chiefs 17

Mahomes hits Travis Kelce for a 1-yard touchdown to bring them within three-points with 6:13 left on the clock.

Patrick Mahomes hits Tyreek Hill for a 44-yard completion on 3rd and 15.

This is the longest play of the game and much needed for the Chiefs.

Jimmy Garoppolo is possibly Doctor Who:

Joe Staley returned to the game.

Patrick Mahomes is intercepted for the second time:

49ers get the ball back at their own 13-yard line up by 10. Mahomes had no interceptions through his first four playoff games.

Garoppolo has been on fire since the pick:

49ers 20 - Chiefs 10

After a big pass to Kendrick Bourne, Kyle Juszczyk gets the 49ers down to the one-yard line where Raheem Mostert punched it in for a 1-yard touchdown.

49ers offensive lineman Joe Staley is questionable to return.

Would be a tough break for San Francisco if he can’t return.

Patrick Mahomes throws an interception to Fred Warner.

49ers ball at their 45-yard line.

49ers 13 - Chiefs 10

Robbie Gould hits a 42-yard field goal after Garoppolo hits Deebo Samuel, Emmanuel Sanders and Kyle Juszczyk to help get them into range.

Well, I think the game is pretty exciting:

Garoppolo’s interception was bad, but he’s played well otherwise:

Halftime Score, Chiefs 10 - 49ers 10

George Kittle made a big 42-yard grab down to the Chiefs 13-yard line, but he was called for pushing off just before half. You be the judge —

Chiefs 10 - 49ers 10

Jimmy Garoppolo hits Kyle Juszczyk for a 15-yard play-action touchdown.

Chiefs 10 - 49ers 3

Harrison Butker hits a 31-yard field goal. 49ers defense comes up big on third-down.

Andy Reid goes for it on 4th and 1 again and gets it with a pitch to Damien Williams.

Jimmy Garoppolo intercepted by Bashaud Breeland:

Brady trolling:

Chiefs 7 - 49ers 3

Patrick Mahomes rushes in for the first touchdown of the game.

Andy Reid opts to go for it on 4th and 1, changing his mind after bringing in the field goal unit and pick up the first down.

DeForest Buckner and Earl Mitchell combine for the first sack of the night.

Darrelle Revis and Richard Sherman’s Twitter beef will likely continue:

49ers 3 - Chiefs 0

7:57 remains in the first quarter.

49ers drive to the Chiefs 20-yard line, but can’t convert on 3rd and 5. Robbie Gould hits a 38-yarder to put the 49ers up 3-0.

Deebo Samuel goes for 32 yards on the ground for the first big play of the game.

Tevin Coleman gets the start:

Head referee Bill Vinovich almost fumbles the coin toss, but makes sure everything is on the up and up in the end:

Patrick Mahomes gets his team ready:

Chiefs fans are out in force:

Bill Belichick shows a few of his rings off to the booing crowd:

Players and Coaches line up for Kobe Bryant tribute

Inactives

The biggest surprise is that four 49ers running backs will suit up. Jeff Wilson gets the nod as the fourth running back. This could be a sign that Tevin Coleman’s separated shoulder is till bothering him.

Player arrivals

Both teams have arrived and begun pre-game warmups, and naturally that means we get some pre-game arrival video. Both quarterbacks get the spotlight, with Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo looking sharp in their arrivals. Richard Sherman decided to sport a Kobe Bryant jersey to honor the Lakers legend.

Super Bowl Sunday is upon us! The 2020 Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers squaring off in Miami at Hard Rock Stadium. The game will air on FOX with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling the game, and Erin Andrews and Chris Myers serving as sideline reporters.

Super Bowl 54 has a chance to be one of the more entertaining big games in recent memory. The 49ers have the second ranked scoring offense and eighth ranked scoring defense. The Chiefs have the fifth ranked scoring offense and the seventh ranked scoring defense. There were a host of potentially fun matchups, but this might be the best we could ask for in Super Bowl 54.

The point total is set at 53.5, which marks the fifth highest point total odds in Super Bowl history. If we get anything close to this, it should be a fun one. We’ll be tracking all the fun moments on and off the field. We’ll have updates for every score, video from the big plays, fun commercials, anything notable from the halftime show, and plenty more. Follow along all day Sunday.
