Seton Hall buzzer beaters Butler [VIDEO]

With 0.6 seconds left, the Pirates escape with a huge win over the Butler Bulldogs

Via a glorious baseline out of bounds play, a lob to Sandro Mamukelashvili was tipped in with 0.6 seconds left for No. 21 Seton Hall to defeat No. 16 Butler on Wednesday night in Newark, NJ.

Not only was it a game with huge NCAA implications, it redeems a big mistake by SHU one possession before. While up three, The Hall and head coach Kevin Willard elected not to foul with 10 seconds left, and somehow left Butler star Sean McDermott quarantined after trying to double the ball, and he made a wide-open three to tie it.

SHU’s original drive to the basket without calling a timeout went out of bounds but off a Butler player, setting up the baseline-out-of-bounds play. And a simple lob to the opposite post was enough for Mamukelashvili to send the fans home happy.

It’s a big Q1 win for Seton Hall, who now has a one game lead in first place in the Big East at 11-3 in the league.
