The Southwest Athletic Conference Basketball Championship will take place both on campus sites and in the Bartow Center in Birmingham, Alabama from March 10th-14th. The HBCU league will be playing on the campus of the University of Alabama Birmingham.

As of now Prairie View A&M is the favorite to repeat as champs and No. 1 seed, with Texas Southern closely behind. The semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN3, with the final on ESPN U on March 14th

March 10 (Campus sites)

Game 1: No. 4 Jackson State 69-52 over No. 5 Alcorn State
Game 2: No. 1 Prairie View 82-60 over No. 8 Alabama A&M
Game 3: No. 3 Texas Southern 75-62 over No. 6 Grambling State
Game 4: No. 2 Southern 67-53 over No. 7 Alabama State

March 13

Game 5: Jackson State vs. Prairie View, 3:30 p.m. ET
Game 6: Texas Southern vs. Southern, 9:30 p.m. ET

March 14

Championship: Game 6 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 6 p.m. ET

The SWAC is for sure a one-bid league, with the crowned conference champion heading to Dayton for the First Four before entering the regular field of 64. There are no teams that might be able to avoid that fate, so there will be only one winner here.
