The NBA Rookie of the Year race had been stagnant until Zion Williamson returned to the lineup for the New Orleans Pelicans. With Zion back, things are getting interesting. Sort of. Williamson has improved his odds significantly over this stretch of a few weeks, but the issue is Memphis Grizzlies PG Ja Morant continues to be the heavy favorite. Considering the time missed, it’s hard to envision Zion doing enough to win the award. Still, it’s telling that Williamson’s odds have jumped this much and from what we saw prior to the break, maybe Zion has an outside shot.
