DC, Houston top XFL title odds, but Dallas could be on the move

The XFL heads into Week 3 with the D.C. Defenders and Houston Roughnecks holding the lead in their respective divisions. Both are 2-0 and appear to be a clear step up on the rest of the competition.

DraftKings Sportsbook posted their latest XFL Championship odds, and it’s no surprise DC and Houston top the list. DC opened the season in the middle of the pack for championship odds, but moved into the top odds spot after Week 1. They improved from +600 to +500 to +300, and this week have improved to +200. They’ve shown the best balance thus far, with Cardale Jones leading the offense, and a solid pass rush leading the defense.

Houston has closed the distance considerably after opening deeper down the odds. They opened at +800, improved to +700 before their opener, and improved to +500 after winning their season-opener. P.J. Walker impressed in his debut and followed up with another strong performance in Week 2, and they now sit at +250.

There is a clear difference from DC and Houston to everybody else. Dallas improved to +600 with Landry Jones’ return and then New York and St. Louis are sitting at +950. Dallas will be the team to watch this week in Jones’ second start. The Renegades travel to face Seattle in Week 3, and will likely be favored when lines open later this week. If Landry Jones and that offense are legit, they should be able to put up big numbers against Seattle. We’ll see which way things swing this coming weekend.
