The St. Louis BattleHawks and Houston Roughnecks will face off Sunday, and both teams are looking to improve to 2-0 in Week 2 of the XFL. St. Louis beat a Dallas Renegades team that opened up the season as favorite to win the title, but Dallas’ starting quarterback Landry Jones didn’t play. Houston faced a Los Angeles Wildcats team that didn’t have their starting signal caller, Josh Johnson. Neither side faced a legitimate first-string quarterback, but we broke down what defense has the best chance to thrive this weekend.
Fantasy football analysis
St. Louis managed to tally four sacks in the season opener and also picked off a pass against Dallas. They allowed Philip Nelson to complete 79 percent of his passes, but didn’t give up anything big. Houston got after the quarterback like no other team did in Week 1. They totaled five sacks and a staggering 10 quarterback hits while racking up eight tackles for a loss. Houston might have the best pass rush in the league, and that could be beneficial against run-heavy time like St. Louis with a mobile quarterback.
DFS Recommendation
Start Houston over St. Louis in this one.
