Who to play between Cardale Jones and Jordan Ta'amu in the XFL’s Week 2

We take a look at how Cardale Jones and Jordan Ta’amu stack up against one another in DFS ahead of the XFL’s Week 2.

Week 2 of the XFL’s 2020 season will kick off on Saturday, and now we have an idea about what we should expect from pro football’s latest product. Last weekend’s four games showed us who we should look at for from a fantasy perspective. Now we can provide you with some DFS quarterback advice based on what we saw in Week 1. Here’s how we think you should go about playing DC Defenders quarterback Cardale Jones and St. Louis BattleHawks quarterback Jordan Ta’amu:

Fantasy football analysis: Defenders QB Cardale Jones, BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu

Both these signal callers started off their seasons with wins, but they’ll face completely different opponents this time around. Jones threw for 236 yards and two scores and ran for an additional 28 against the Seattle Dragons in Week 1. He got off to a slow start and but picked things up in the second half.

Ta’amu doesn’t have the weapons Jones has at wide receiver, but still managed to total 209 passing yards and 77 rushing yards against the Dallas Renegades. He was more efficient than Jones and is much more lethal in the open field.

DFS Recommendation

Both Jones and Ta’amu are worth starting in Week 2, but I’d give a slight edge to Ta’amu because of his potentially higher mobility ceiling.
