Chicago Bulls C Wendell Carter Jr. (ankle) is aiming to return after the All-Star Break against the Charlotte Hornets. WCJ has been sidelined since early January due to a sprained ankle, leaving a big void in the Bulls front court.
Wendell Carter Jr. said he's aiming to return for the Bulls' first game after the break — next Thursday vs. Charlotte. Says he's "definitely feeling a lot better"

Not only has Carter been sidelined, but the Bulls are missing Lauri Markkanen, who was forced to undergo a small hip procedure. Daniel Gafford also sprained his ankle and was forced to miss time, so Chicago hasn’t had a healthy front court since November. Otto Porter Jr. (foot) should be back after the All-Star break at some point, but when is still unclear. We should expect Carter to be eased back into action, but the Bulls are still somewhat pushing for the playoffs. With that in mind, they don’t have much option but to get Carter back in the mix and playing 30+ minutes again.
