How to watch, what to bet for Colorado vs. Oregon

According to KenPom, the Colorado Buffaloes have the best home court advantage in Division I this season. But when they head to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks tonight, they’ll be trying to show they can do it on the road as well. We take a deeper dive into tonight’s matchup for first place in the PAC-12 and protected seed supremacy.

Colorado has been one of the surprise teams in college basketball this season. They’re coming off three-straight Q1 wins over USC, Cal, and Stanford, and are in the Top 35 in both adjusted efficiency both offensively (34) and defensive (25). They shoot the three well as a team, but don’t defend it so great. Forward Tyler Bey and and guard McKinley Wright are the difference makers, as they combine for nearly a 50% usage rate for the Buffs.

Oregon is 10th nationally in offensive efficiency, and Payton Pritchard is the reason. He can score it himself averaging 19.5 points per game, but it’s his 6.0 assists and the ability to put people in position that makes him dangerous. He’s fourth in the PAC-12 in assist rate, but could be without one of his fellow starters as freshman forward N’Faly Dante is listed as questionable.

They’ve lost two in a row to Stanford and Oregon State on the road by 10 points each, but are back amongst the trees tonight and laying points because of it.

The Pick: Under 138

While both these teams can score efficiently, they don’t exactly run like the legendary Oregon track team. UO is 312th in adjusted tempo, and CU is 185th. The Buffs defense can slow down the Ducks offense, which is the “good on good” here tonight especially with Dante questionable.

This should be a good one and some quality basketball between the best of a conference that’s not been great this year, but it won’t be a quick one. Let’s fade overtime together.
