Best bets for February 11th college basketball: Vandy, Mizzou, and a late night snack out west

We find three games we like including Kentucky heading to Vanderbilt in Nashville, Mizzou to an up-and-down LSU, and more.

There are seven Top 25 teams in action tonight in college basketball, but we found three lines we like. And since we went 3-0 last night, we can assure you our selections are indeed undefeated this week. At this rate, we’ll be 6-0 later this evening, and stats like this are the #Math you’ll need to succeed at sports betting!

Vanderbilt +12 vs. Kentucky

Vandy is an enigma, but an enigma that’s playing better. They’ve covered in their last four, including at Rupp Arena on January 29th in a 71-62 loss. Jerry Stackhouse’s philosophy seems to be getting through to a young team starting three underclassmen.

On the other side, Kentucky has covered in four of their last six away from Rupp Arena, but hasn’t been blowing people out on the road. If Ashton Hagans goes off, they’re capable here. But this seems to be a good, stable team heading to face one on the rise. And it’s a lot of points for a home team that can hang around. ‘Cats win, ‘Dores cover.

San Diego State -15.5 vs. New Mexico

The Aztecs are worth staying up for, and if you haven’t seen them fellow East Coasters, fall asleep to them on your tv tonight.

The knock is how well they play on the road, not really blowing MWC opponents out how you’d expect. But they wreck teams at home, especially bad ones, with no one that’s gone into Viejas Arena with an NET in triple digits coming within three touchdowns. New Mexico is 113.

SDSU is undefeated for a reason and of course they’re going to win tonight, but they break out the whooping stick at home. UNM gets pasted on the regular in league play (ignore their win against borderline D2 Wyoming last time out), and they lost by 28 to this same team in The Pit two weeks ago. It might be worse tonight.

Missouri +11 at LSU

LSU shouldn’t catch 10 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks or give 10 to your favorite middle school. They’re probably the most inconsistent NCAA team in the country, and Will Wade and his charges haven’t really smoked anyone. They’ve lost two in a row, including to previously winless Vanderbilt.

Mizzou ain’t great, and they’ve really struggled on the road. But they’re coming off a nice home win over Arkansas, and this is more about LSU shooting themselves in the foot with games that should be comfortable. But we really don’t see a way the Tigers lose this game...
