The NFL offseason is just over a week old, but we already have money coming in at DraftKings Sportsbook on the potential Super Bowl 55 champion. We still have free agency and the draft to sort through, and there will be plenty of injuries and other player news that will shake things up. But that won’t stop us from sorting through who the early favorites are for the next year.
The Chiefs are the early betting favorites, and while they are getting the most bets placed, the Patriots have the largest percentage of the handle (and fifth best odds). The Ravens have the second best odds, and are currently fourth in handle and tickets bet.
The 49ers have the third best odds, and are currently third in handle and betting. The NFC is a difficult challenge, but the Chiefs and Ravens present enough of a challenge to each other that it could eat into bets. If Tom Brady returns to the Patriots, they’ll also eat into that.
Further down the list, a host of teams are tied at four percent of total bets placed, including the Colts, Giants, and Raiders. The Colts quarterback situation could be in the air if the team goes after a veteran to replace Jacoby Brissett, which makes them a wild card in all this if they were to maybe go after Philip Rivers. The Giants are officially moving on from the Eli Manning era and hoping a healthy team in 2020 can compete. The Raiders are one of the early betting favorites to land Tom Brady if he leaves New England, but that seems unlikely for the moment.
