Aaron Thompson out for Butler, Henry Baddley still listed as questionable

One of the Butler starters is out, while the other is still questionable with an illness before tip-off.

Aaron Thompson will miss his third straight game for the #16 Butler Bulldogs against the Providence Friars today at 2 p.m. in a Big East matchup that’s crucial for both teams. Thompson played 38 minutes in the previous meeting with PC earlier this season, though he scored only two points. He’s not out there for his offense with just 6.6 points per game in 32.5 minutes per game, but he’s an important cog as a point guard and distributor in the Bulldogs offense.

Meanwhile the status of senior swingman Henry Baddley is still up in the air. He’s averaging 16.9 assists and 4.4 points per contest this season, but did not play at Providence on January 10th. We’ll have more as we learn if he’ll play in today’s key matchup.
