Report: Daniel Jones “is expected to play” in Week 14

Daniel Jones continues to manage a hamstring injury, though he has a chance to suit up Week 14 as the Giants face the Cardinals.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to play this week, per ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan. The quarterback was close to returning last week, but coach Joe Judge decided to hold him back. That puts him on track for this week as long as he can get through practices without any setbacks to his hamstring injury.

Backup Colt McCoy helped the Giants to a win against the Seattle Seahawks last week, but there is no doubt that Jones gives the offense more spark compared to McCoy’s dinking and dunking ways.

The Giants are still very much in pursuit of the NFC East title and have a slight lead over the Washington Football Team with the same record due to their two wins over them.A matchup with the Arizona Cardinals at home this week comes at a good time, as Arizona has hit a rough patch with four losses in their last five games after starting 5-2.
