Wide receiver PPR rankings for Week 14 fantasy football

We take you through some of the best PPR wide receivers going in Week 14 for fantasy football, including a few viable streamers.

Final injury report

Julio Jones is out against the Chargers. Calvin Ridley becomes a stronger play than usual.

Jamison Crowder didn’t practice on Friday after hurting his calf in Thursday’s practice. He is listed as questionable, so maybe he does still have a chance to play, but the DNP is not a good sign. If Corwder can’t go Braxton Berrios would take his slot work while Breshad Perriman would see extra targets, especially with Denzel Mims out as well.

D.J. Moore isn’t expected to play due to Covid-19. Curtis Samuel and Robby Anderson should get bumps in usage.

DeAndre Hopkins is listed as questionable, but is expected to play against the Giants.

Brandin Cooks and Keke Coutee are both questionable against the Bears. Coutee practiced in full Thursday and Friday and seems ready to go while Cooks was limited all week and appears on track to play.

A.J. Brown, Michael Thomas, Allen Lazard, Chase Claypool, Allen Robinson, Mike Evans, and Deebo Samuel have all been taken off the injury report for Week 14.

Out: Julio Jones (hamstring), Kenny Golladay (hip), Denzel Mims (non-injury related)
Doubtful: N/A
Questionable: Jamison Crowder (calf), DeAndre Hopkins (neck, back), Tee Higgins (hamstring), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee, concussion), Brandin Cooks (foot, neck), Keke Coutee (knee)

Thursday injury report

DeAndre Hopkins has yet to practice with neck and back injuries. He still has a real shot of playing against the Giants.

A.J. Brown has missed two practices. He’ll likely need to practice on Friday to be able to play against the Jaguars.

Mike Evans missed practice after getting limited work in on Thursday. He does get rest days, so there still is a chance he’ll suit up.

Denzel Mims will not play this week due to a personal matter, while Jamison Crowder was limited with a calf injury.

Julio Jones didn’t practice on Thursday. Like Evans and Hopkins, he doesn’t need to practice much to play, but it would be good to see them get out there Friday.

DNP: Kenny Golladay (hip), Mike Evans (hamstring), Chase Claypool (illness), A.J. Brown (ankle), Julio Jones (hamstring), DeAndre Hopkins (neck/back)
Limited: Julio Jones (hamstring), Tee Higgins (hamstring), Jerry Jeudy (ankle), Allen Lazard (core), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee, concussion), Brandin Cooks (foot, neck), Keke Coutee (knee), Laviska Shenault (thumb), Deebo Samuel (limited)
Full: Nelson Agholor (ankle), Tyreek Hill (illness), Chris Godwin (finger), Terry McLaurin (ankle), Jarvis Landry (hip)

Wednesday injury report

A.J. Brown missed Wednesday with an ankle injury. This is a new injury and his usual maintenance day for a knee injury has been Thursday, so there is cause for some concern.

Deebo Samuel missed practice with a foot contusion. There is optimism that he’ll be able to play though.

Tyreek Hill missed practice due to an illness. Considering Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn’t play last week due to an illness, it is worth keeping an eye on Hill’s status.

Kenny Golladay is still not practicing. He looks unlikely to play against Green Bay.

Denzel Mims is tending to a personal matter that could impact his status this week.

DNP: Equanimeous St. Brown (knee, concussion), Tyreek Hill (illness), Chris Godwin (finger), A.J. Brown (ankle), Deebo Samuel (foot), Julio Jones (hamstring), Denzel Mims (personal)
Limited: Tee Higgins (hamstring), Keke Coutee (knee), Allen Robinson (knee), Mike Evans (hamstring), Breshad Perriman (shoulder), Alshon Jeffery (calf), Michael Thomas (ankle), Terry McLaurin (ankle), Jerry Jeudy (limited)
Full: N/A

Week 14 didn’t have any Darren Waller-esque fantasy avalanches from the wide receiver position, but there were plenty of big games from the position. Corey Davis led the way with his best game of the season, as he caught 11 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. Negative game script helped Davis to his most targets (12) on the year. With some easy matchups on the slate, Davis likely won’t see that volume again, but he has had a consistent floor all season.

The T.Y. Hilton resurgence was unforeseen, as he caught his first two touchdowns over the last two weeks and had his first 80- and 100-yard games as well. It’s hard to trust him, but the Colts get two great matchups the next two weeks and Hilton could keep his streak going.

Jamison Crowder was one of three receivers to catch two touchdowns last week and it was good to see him get back into the plus column. Injuries have slowed him down, but he looks like he might have righted the ship with the Seahawks up next.

Injury news

Chris Godwin had pins removed from his thumb this week, but there’s a good chance he’ll be ready by Sunday when the Bucs take on the Vikings.

D.J. Moore has an ankle injury and to add illness to injury, he also has Covid-19. He’s not going to play against the Broncos.

Adam Humphries has been put on IR.

Bye weeks

There are no teams on bye in Week 14.

Streaming options

D.J. Chark, Jaguars

Chark hasn’t been a useful fantasy commodity for much of the season, but a matchup with the poor Titans secondary could help him this week. He also will again have Mike Glennon throwing him the ball. That may not sound like the best thing, but Glennon has played pretty well since starting and he’s been throwing deep more than any quarterback. It’s still risky, but Chark’s upside this week is great.

Jamison Crowder, Jets

The Seahawks pass defense has played better of late, but they are still a weak group. Add that to the fact that the Jets pass defense is likely to be smoked by D.K. Metcalf and company and we have a recipe for plenty of passing.
