Best available D/STs on the Week 14 waiver wire

There are a few D/STs widely available that either have good matchups heading into Week 14, or had successful Week 13 performances, or could benefit from an injury. With that in mind, here are five D/STs with under 60% rostership in traditional fantasy football leagues that managers can consider picking up for Week 14.

San Francisco 49ers (49 percent)

Next up — WSH, @DAL, @ARI

The 49ers defense, despite an avalanche of injuries, continues to play well and now they’ll get a Washington team with a weak offensive line and could be without Antonio Gibson. The 49ers are also coming off two strong D/ST games against the Saints and Rams.

Dallas Cowboys (15 percent)

Next up — @CIN, SF, PHI

The Cowboys defense isn’t one you’ll feel good about playing, but the Bengals are at a point where you should be able to play about any D/ST and have some upside. Brandon Allen is going to check down every time, especially with a porous offensive line

Arizona Cardinals (20 percent)

Next up — @NYG, PHI, SF

It is yet to be seen if Daniel Jones will be able to play this week, but if not, Colt McCoy is a great quarterback to target with your D/ST. If that works out, then you get the Eagles in Arizona with either Carson Wentz or Jalen Hurts at quarterback behind a bad offensive-line.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (45 percent)

Next up — MIN, @ATL, @DET

The Buccaneers defense really has taken a downturn of late, but the core that was dominant early in the year is there and Kirk Cousins can throw a pick-six with the best of them. This isn’t a play for the faint of heart, but the upside is good with the Buccaneers coming off their bye and regrouping for a playoff run.

Houston Texans (11 percent)

Next up — @CHI, @IND, CIN

The Texans get two good matchups in their next three games with the Bears and Bengals. The texans defense is awful unfortunately, but if you are in a tight spot, they do get Mitch Trubisky and Brandon Allen.
