UPDATE: Hurts is in for his second straight possession. It appears he has taken over at quarterback for at least the rest of this game. He’s quickly racking up yardage on the ground, giving the Eagles a spark.
The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly planned on using Jalen Hurts a little more last week according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, but he ended up playing just two snaps. This week, down 20-3 midway through the third quarter, Hurts is actually staying in the game and completed his first pass for 34 yards to Jalen Reagor. We’ll see if he can make some strides and hold onto the starting job moving forward.
