Wil Lutz injures leg, uncertain for rest of Saints-Falcons

Will Lutz appears to have suffered a leg injury while kicking a field goal against the Falcons.

New Orleans Saints kicker Wil Lutz appears to have injured is leg on a field goal attempt in Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. He went to the medical tent after missing a kick and could be replaced by punter Thomas Morestead.

New Orleans could also opt to go for it on fourth downs and attempt two-point conversions on scores if Lutz can’t return, but former controversial fantasy football tight end Taysom Hill could also get a nod. The Drew Brees fill-in was a high school kicker and could prove to be even more of a utility player than we thought he was. Regardless of what happens, Lutz being ruled out could affect the Saints’ offense drastically.
