How to handle Clyde Edwards-Helaire injury in Week 13 fantasy football

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is on the Chiefs final injury report for Week 13. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

In-game update: CEH’s illness would seem to be a legit issue because Le’Veon Bell has gotten all the running back work in this game. Bell has nine rushes for 40 yards and has caught two of three targets for 15 yards midway through the third quarter.

Game status: Clyde Edwards-Helaire is ACTIVE for Week 13.

Game day update: Clyde Edwards-Helaire was feeling much better Saturday evening and the team is hopeful he can play, but will want to see how he feels when he arrives at the stadium, per Ian Rapoport.

The Kansas City Chiefs have listed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire as questionable on this week’s injury report ahead of their game against the Denver Broncos. CEH is dealing with an illness, but fortunately, it’s not THAT illness. Head coach Andy Reid was optimistic about the running back’s ability to play on Sunday.

Fantasy impact: Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness)

The Chiefs lean on a committee to handle the backfield duties with Le’Veon Bell getting a decent portion of the workload. If CEH can’t play this week, Bell would see an increase in touches, giving some low-end value as a RB3. Unfortunately for the running backs, the Chiefs offense very clearly works through the passing game, for obvious reasons.

The last time these two teams played each other this season, back in Week 7, CEH caught one pass for 17 yards, on four targets, and carried the ball eight times for 46 yards and a touchdown. He’s an RB2, if he plays in this one.
