Kalen Ballage is on the Chargers final injury report for Week 13. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Ballage is ACTIVE for Week 13.

Game day update: Kalen Ballage is expected to play against the Patriots, per Adam Schefter, although his role is unclear with Austin Ekeler back in the lineup.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kalen Ballage is listed as questionable on this week’s official injury report. He has an ankle injury. Ballage was limited at Wednesday and Thursday’s practice sessions, but he was a full participant on Friday, which points toward him being on the active roster this week against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy impact: Kalen Ballage (ankle)

Ballage missed last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills. That paved the way for Austin Ekeler to jump back into the RB1 spot for the Chargers, his first game since Week 4. He had 44 rushing yards on 14 carries and was targeted an incredible 16 times in the passing game, catching 11 for 85 yards.

Prior to last week, Ballage was seeing between 15 and 18 carries per game. He also saw a few targets in each one, but nothing like what Ekeler saw last week. We’ll see what happens, but it looks as though Ballage will take a backseat to Ekeler.
