How to handle Todd Gurley injury in Week 13 fantasy football

Todd Gurley is on the Falcons final injury report for Week 13. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Gurley is ACTIVE for Week 13.

Game day update: The Falcons expect Todd Gurley to play Sunday against the Saints, per Ian Rapoport.

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley is listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of this week’s game against the New Orleans Saints. He’s still dealing with the same knee injury that kept him out of action last week. However, there are positive signs here; Gurley was able to practice in a limited role on Friday.

Fantasy impact: Todd Gurley (Knee)

Gurley doesn’t rack up much yardage in Atlanta’s offense, but he does find the end zone with enough regularity to make him a pretty consistent fantasy starter. In his last outing against the Saints, back in Week 11, he carried the ball eight times for just 26 yards with the Falcons trailing badly most of the way.

If Gurley can’t play, Brian Hill is the next man up. Last week without Gurley, Hill rushed for 55 yards on 13 carries against the Raiders. It’s important to note, however, that last week Ito Smith was heavily involved as well. Smith had 12 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown, and he also caught four passes for 10 yards. Without Gurley, the two would likely split the workload again, depressing fantasy value for both.
