It’s hard to believe that Colt McCoy has now been in the league for 10 years, but he hasn’t had much meaningful playing time since he played three games for Washington two seasons ago. He’s back in action this week, taking over the New York Giants starting job while Daniel Jones recovers from a hamstring injury. He’ll have his work cut out for him too on the road against the Seahawks. And if you were thinking about maybe using him as a streamer in fantasy football this week, let me go ahead and stop you right there.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants QB Colt McCoy
McCoy has made three starts since 2014, and he’s backing up Daniel Jones, who is not a great fantasy football quarterback to begin with. That should tell you all you need to know about starting McCoy this week.
You might be tempted here because of Seattle’s weak pass defense. That could mean fewer mistakes for McCoy, but it’s worth pointing out that the Seahawks have held Jared Goff, Kyler Murray, and Carson Wentz to just 786 yards and four touchdowns in their last three games.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Colt McCoy.
