The Week 12 AFC East battle between the Jets and the Dolphins wasn’t a battle at all. The Dolphins came away with a 20-3 victory, and the Jets stayed winless. Sam Darnold’s return to the field didn’t help much, if at all. But New York’s Week 13 opponent provides a smoother path to success.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets WRs Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, Denzel Mims
Sam Darnold was at the very least able to get two of his receivers over the 10-DKFP hump, with Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims both reeling in four catches on eight targets. After respectable performances from Perriman and Mims, the Las Vegas Raiders will have to focus some of their defensive attention to the perimeter receivers. That should allow for Jamison Crowder to have a bounce-back game.
While Crowder only recorded three receptions for 31 yards last week, he and Darnold definitely have chemistry. In their other two games together earlier this season, Crowder had seven catches for more than 100 yards in each outing. If we assume the Jets will be playing from behind for most of the game, which we should, we can also assume that Darnold will be looking for his main man.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Crowder as a low-end WR2/FLEX. Only start Perriman or Mims in deep leagues as a WR4.
