The Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver unit could be in store for a productive day on Sunday against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Football analysis: Raiders WRs Henry Ruggs III, Hunter Renfrow, Nelson Agholor
Last week against the Falcons, Hunter Renfrow was the team’s leading receiver with seven receptions (nine targets) for 73 yards. It was the lone bright spot on a relatively bad day for the Raiders’ offense.
Nelson Agholor has turned back the clock to how he played in 2017 with the Philadelphia Eagles. The former first round, who signed a one-year prove-it deal with Vegas, leads the team in touchdowns with six. Then there’s the speedy Henry Ruggs III, who has not had the best rookie season, in comparison to his fellow draft classmates. But he still has the ability to break the game open with one big play.
Agholor and Ruggs III could be among the Raiders’ top three receivers when they play on Sunday against the Jets. This season, the Jets’ defense is giving up 11 touchdowns and 24.8 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. New York will likely try to keep their focus on tight end Darren Waller, which could open up things for someone on the perimeter.
