The Dallas Cowboys are a mess in a ton of areas during this NFL season, and that includes the running game. What should fantasy owners be doing with the backfield duo of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard? Continue to read on.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys RBs Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard
Elliott is nowhere close to what he was prior to signing a huge contract to remain with the Cowboys. In Dallas’ 41-16 embarrassment against the Washington Football Team, Elliott carried the ball 10 times for 32 yards and lost yet another fumble. He caught just one of three targets for seven yards. As for Pollard, he rushed four times for 12 yards. In the passing game, he caught both of the targets that went his way for 10 yards.
The Cowboys will see Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday night. The Ravens are ranked 12th in the NFL, allowing 111.6 rushing yards per game. In its last time out, Baltimore allowed just 68 yards rushing to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Benny Snell Jr. led the way with 60 yards on 16 carries.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Elliott is a running back No. 2 for fantasy purposes, and Pollard should not have much consideration as a fantasy option moving forward unless there is an injury to Elliott.
