What to do with Jared Cook in Week 13 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Jared Cook ahead of the Saints Week 13 matchup against the Falcons.

The New Orleans Saints cruised past the Denver Broncos in Week 12, staying atop the NFC with a 9-2 record. The Broncos scored as many points as the amount of quarterbacks that they were forced to rule out due to COVID-19 concerns: three. Sadly, the Saints tight end did not contribute on the stat sheet at all in this one. Can Jared Cook bounce back in Week 13 against Atlanta?

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints TE Jared Cook

Much like the rest of the Saints’ skill position players, Cook’s fantasy value has significantly dropped off with Taysom Hill as the starter. Through two weeks without Drew Brees, Jared Cook, Alvin Kamara, and Latavius Murray have each seen the same number of targets as the Broncos quarterbacks that missed Week 12: yes, three (I swear that’s the last time I’ll use that joke).

The Falcons defense has been the most generous to opposing tight ends, allowing a league-high 15.9 DKFP per game to the position. Though it’s wishful thinking to assume that Hill will randomly latch onto Cook, especially since they only connected for one catch two weeks ago against the same Atlanta defense. We’ll be waiting for Brees to return before we put our trust in Cook.
