Austin Hooper made just a brief appearance in the box score from the Cleveland Browns game last week. The tight end was targeted just twice against the Jaguars, catching both for 13 yards and a touchdown, his second score of the season. His fellow tight end, David Njoku, did not a single target in that one. So what to expect from the Browns tight ends this week against the Titans?
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns TEs Austin Hooper, David Njoku
You can leave Njoku off of the radar entirely. He’s had exactly one target in Cleveland’s last three games. There’s no need to even consider him for fantasy lineups. Hooper stands atop the depth chart, and he usually gets a few more throws coming his way than he did last week. In Week 11, he was targeted five times, catching three for 33 yards.
He has chance to produce bigger numbers this week against Tennessee. The Titans gave up 61 yards and a touchdown to two of the Colts tight ends last week, mostly Trey Burton, and the week before that Mark Andrews of the Ravens burned them for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Austin Hooper. Sit David Njoku.
