This season, former Baltimore Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst has fit in nicely as the Falcons’ new TE1 replacing Austin Hooper. The former first round selection has 45 receptions (69 targets) for 471 yards and three touchdowns.
Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons TE Hayden Hurst
With the Falcons dealing with multiple injuries at the wide receiver position throughout the year, Hayden Hurst has become a vital part of their offense. In their last four games, the 27-year-old tight end produced 16 receptions (25 targets) for 164 yards. While Hurst doesn’t have any touchdowns during that span, it is encouraging to see him averaging 6.3 targets per game.
This week, he’ll be facing a New Orleans Saints defense, which is only giving up 7.9 fantasy points per game and six total to opposing tight ends. It is not a great much for Hurst, who did not have a single catch versus the New Orleans in Week 9.
