The Miami Dolphins will get much a needed playmaker back to their roster for Week 13. The team announced on Saturday it has activated running back Myles Gaskin from injured reserve. He will be eligible for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The team placed Gaskin on IR after he sprained his MCL in Week 8. They have rotated between backs with Salvon Ahmed, Matt Breida, and DeAndre Washington all getting chunks of work. This week, Ahmed and Washington are both listed as doubtful due to injuries, and Breida has gone on the Covid-19 IR list.
That left the Dolphins with just Patrick Laird at running back and receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. as a versatile option. Even facing a bad Bengals team, getting Gaskins back is a big deal. The team likely does not want to put too heavy a workload on his shoulders right out of the gate, but the numerous running back issues might leave them with little choice.
