Gameday update —Woods and Kupp are both expected to have solid fantasy outings and are projected to score between 16 and 17 fantasy points on ESPN. Woods has a narrow edge over Kupp but either wideout could take over.
The Rams will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. The Cardinals defense has allowed the ninth most fantasy points to opposing wideouts this season, and the Rams receiving corps will look to capitalize on this matchup. Robert Woods seemed to be Goff’s favorite target in Week 12, but Kupp has had his moments this season as well. Josh Reynolds showed promise midseason but seems to have fallen off lately. What should you do with these receivers in regards to your Week 13 lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds
Robert Woods had a healthy dose of targets in Week 12, as Goff looked his way 12 times. He managed to haul in seven of those targets to finish with 15.8 fantasy points. Woods is averaging 16.4 points per game this season while also averaging 7.9 targets per game. Woods target share automatically puts him into every week starter territory. His plus matchup should allow you to consider him a low end WR1 and he can be inserted in lineups accordingly.
Cooper Kupp has been second to Robert Woods in fantasy scoring all season, but even so, it’s worked out pretty favorably for him, as he is averaging 14.1 points per game. Kupp’s target share is a bit volatile, jumping from 20 one week to five the next week, which brings a certain degree of uncertainty to his value on a weekly basis. Even so, in a plus match-up you want to have the guy who has averaged 8.7 targets per game over the course of the season in your starting lineup. Play him as a WR2 this weekend.
Josh Reynolds saw an uptick in targets in weeks 7-10, but has played only a minor role in the last couple weeks. He had six targets in each of his last two games, and though he remains involved in the offense, he doesn’t have a large enough role to be considered for your starting lineup. He should remain on the bench this weekend.
