How and what to watch for Arkansas vs. Missouri

Arkansas has been struggling in recent weeks, while Mizzou has won four of their last five.

The SEC regular season comes to a close with two first-year head coaches facing each other as the 3-5 Arkansas Razorbacks and the 4-3 Missouri Tigers meet in Columbia.

The Razorbacks started the season hot and were playing very competitive football until the last few weeks. They took on two Top-10 teams and fell to LSU as well, but the defense has been outstanding in its first season under Sam Pittman, with 17 turnovers forced in just eight games. The Tigers have given the ball up nine times this year, including three multiple-turnover games. The Arkansas defense doesn’t give up a ton of explosive plays, and that should continue this weekend because Mizzou is the 114th-ranked explosive offense in America. UA is susceptible against the run, giving up close to 200 yards per week on average.

The Razorback offense has been decent too, led by quarterback Feleipe Franks’ 17 touchdowns and 2,000+ yards. Franks will have a tough week against the Tigers who have been good against the pass, but struggle on the ground. Arkansas will need to lean on a rushing attack that has gotten stronger in recent weeks, including a 200+ yard, three touchdown performance against Florida.
