Sunday update: The 49ers did not have Tevin Coleman on their final injury report, so they should have their full contingent of running backs. In PPR leagues, ESPN is projecting Raheem Mostert with 15.9 points, Jerick McKinnon with 6.0 points, Coleman with 5.3 points, and Jeff Wilson with 1.2 points.
Raheem Mostert slid right into a big role with the San Francisco 49ers last week, his first action since Week 6. He led the backfield with 16 carries, racking up 43 yards and a touchdown against the Rams. Jeff Wilson was close behind with 12 carries and 40 yards of his own, while Jerick McKinnon slid back into his role as the primary passing down back, with 20 rushing yards on three carries and two catches for 11 yards. So how does the backfield picture shake out for fantasy purposes this week against the Bills?
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers RBs Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., Jerick McKinnon
The Bills have let opposing running backs score in nine of their 11 games so far this season, a number that helps Mostert’s fantasy outlook given he put the 49ers on the board with a touchdown from eight yards out last week. And while the 49ers divide the workload in such a way as to preclude any big rushing numbers, it’s worth noting that the Bills have allowed four running backs to top 100 rushing yards.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Raheem Mostert as a RB2 and Jeff Wilson as a RB3/Flex. Sit Jerick McKinnon.
