What to do with Brandin Cooks in Week 13 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Brandin Cooks, Keke Coutee ahead of the Texans Week 13 matchup against the Colts.

Game day update: With Will Fuller basically done for the rest of the season, Brandin Cooks now vaults into the WR1 spot for the Texans. After a rough start, Cooks has become a solid value play in fantasy play. In the Texans’ last three games, he is only averaging 6.9 fantasy points, but six targets, which will only go up without Fuller.

Another wide receiver to keep an eye out for is Keke Coutee, who will become the Texans No. 2 as Randall Cobb is injured and there’s no more Kenny Stills. ESPN projects Cooks, Coutee to score 9.7 and 6.1 fantasy points against the Indianapolis Colts.

The wide receiver picture for the Houston Texans is going to look a little different as we close out the 2020 season. The clear No. 1, Will Fuller, is now suspended for six games because of a PED violation. Randall Cobb is still on injured reserve. That puts the spotlight on Brandin Cooks and Keke Coutee. Will either player be a viable fantasy football option this week?

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans WRs Brandin Cooks, Keke Coutee

Cooks moves into the top spot now. He’s had a decent run over his last four games. Last week against the Lions, he had 85 yards on five catches. He had 85 yards the week before too. He’s now topped 80 yards in three of his last four games, adding a touchdown back in Week 9. He’s a solid WR2 this week.

Coutee is more of an unknown. He had 17 yards last week, but found the end zone the week before that. He’s only played three games this season. Given the uncertainty, I’d wait a week before using him in your lineups.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Brandin Cooks. Sit Keke Coutee.
