The Sooners (9-2) defense picked off Gators quarterback Kyle Trask on his first three drives of the game, and never looked back while turning it into a rout. OU racked up 684 total yards, including 435 on the ground led by Rhamondre Stevenson with 18 carries for 186 yards and a touchdown.
Freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler was 14-23 for 247 yards and three touchdowns, along with seven carries for 40 yards and another score.
The Gators were missing their top four receivers, and it showed with plenty of drops, incorrect routes, and a lack of separation. Trask was 16-28 for 158 yards before being replaced by backups Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson. A total of 12 different Gators ended up with a reception, impressive considering how many on the roster weren’t eligible for the game in the first place.
Though Florida (8-4) was able to rush 39 times for 250, a lot of that came in garbage time. Only 59 scholarship players were available for the Gators today.
