D.J. Chark ruled out for Week 17 against Colts

The Jaguars WR1 won’t play in Week 17.

NFL: AUG 29 Jaguars Training Camp, DJ Chark

Friday update: Chark has been ruled out for the Jaguars season finale, per Adam Schefter. Keelan Cole and Laviska Shenault should see some extra work.

Thursday update: Chark has been unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday, per the injury report. He is unlikely to play against the Colts on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark has a shin injury that could keep him out of Week 17, per Mark Long. Coach Doug Marrone said that Chark’s was “unsure” for Week 17, which usually means he is out in a game with no impact. Chark, much like the Jaguars, has had a down season, but continues to show signs of top-tier ability.

If this is the end of Chark’s season, he will finish with 53 receptions for 706 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games played. Playing with the likes of Mike Glennon and Gardner Minshew throwing hi the ball hasn’t helped, but reinforcements are on the way. Jacksonville has secured the No. 1 pick in the draft and will add Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence to the mix in 2021. With his ability, Chark’s fantasy upside should get a big boost heading forward. If you can pry him away in dynasty leagues, do so.

Keelan Cole and Laviska Shenault should get a boost in Week 17 when they face the Colts.
