As a person born in Big Ten country I was raised to worship all things Rose Bowl, but I gotta be honest in saying I’m a little unsatisfied. This is the package from the Granddaddy of Them All? Maybe players like watches more than I do, as I do pretty well at telling the time without something attached to my wrist. Maybe the hat will look pretty sweet, but a backpack? Bowl game gifts should not be this close to back-to-school shopping.
Perhaps my expectations are too high, but I want better things from the greatest bowl game in all the land moving forward. Or at least a socially distant Beef Bowl.
