Friday injury report
Dallas Goedert is out, which should help elevate Zzach Ertz on Sunday night.
Out: Dallas Goedert (calf)
Doubtful: N/A
Questionable: Greg Olsen (foot), Maxx Williams (ankle), Cole Kmet (shoulder)
Wednesday injury report
Evan Engram was limited with a calf injury. He should be able to go against Dallas.
Dallas Goedert was forced from last week’s game with a calf injury and then wasn’t able to practice. If he can’t go, Zach Ertz would get a boost.
Harrison Bryant is out due to a positive COVID test.
DNP: Darrell Daniels (hamstring), Maxx Williams (ankle), Trey Burton (not injury related),
Limited: Dan Arnold (back), Evan Engram (calf), Marcedes Lewis (knee), Jace Sternberger (concussion), Donald Parham (illness), Josh Hill (hand), Greg Olsen (foot), Dallas Goedert (calf), Richard Rodgers (ankle),
Full: Cole Kmet (shoulder), Jimmy Graham (not injury related), Demetrius Harris (foot), Mike Gesicki (shoulder),
Week 17 is usually a good time to limit your fantasy football and DFS games, as so many teams are usually resting players. But this year, we have more teams set to play their starters.
There are three teams that look like they will rest players though, as the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills don’t have much to play for. The Chiefs have absolutely nothing to play for and the Steelers and Bills can only move between the No. 2 and 3 seeds. Mike Tomlin has already said that Ben Roethlisberger isn’t playing, which could make it less likely the Bills starters play a full game. And Andy Reid said we would see a lot of backup Chad Henne.
Travis Kelce, Eric Ebron and Dawson Knox are too risky to play, even if we hear they might get work.
Here are the teams who need wins and should play their starters: Titans, Bears, Cowboys, Giants, Browns, Dolphins, Ravens, Buccaneers, Saints, Seahawks, Packers, Cardinals, Rams, Colts, and Washington.
Injury news
Kyle Rudolph is out and Irv Smith Jr. should lead the way against the Lions.
Notable backups
Tyler Kroft, Ricky Seals-Jones and Vance McDonald could see more work with starters likely resting.
Streaming options
Hayden Hurst, Falcons
Hurst has caught a touchdown in his last two games and gets a good matchup this week against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends over the last eight weeks. As long as Julio Jones remains out, Hurst has good upside this week.
Noah Fant, Broncos
Fant has 20 targets over the last two games and has 13 receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown. This week the Broncos take on the Raiders, who have given up the sixth-most fantasy points over the last eight games.
