Friday injury report

Terry McLaurin is questionable despite not practicing this week. He could play, but he is extremely risky against the Eagles.

Julio Jones, DJ Chark, Cole Beasley, Kenny Golladay, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel are all out. Upgrade Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage, Marvin Jones, Geroge Kittle, and Kendrick Bourne.

Out: Julio Jones (hamstring), DJ Chark (shin), Cole Beasley (knee), Kenny Golladay (hip), WR Brandon Aiyuk (ankle), WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring), K.J. Hamler (concussion)
Doubtful: Golden Tate (calf)
Questionable: Larry Fitzgerald (groin), Michael Pittman (concussion), Jakeem Grant (ankle), DeVante Parker (hamstring), Terry McLaurin (ankle)

Wednesday injury report

Keenan Allen won’t play against the Chiefs. Ty Johnson and Jalen Guyton will get a boost in work.

Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins didn’t practice. With Patrick Mahomes not playing this week, we can expect Hill and Watkins to be out as well.

Terry McLaurin is dealing with a high ankle sprain. His status vs. the Eagles is iffy.

Brandon Aituk and Deebo Samuel won’t play. George Kittle and Kendrick Bourne should see extra work.

Cole Beasley is most-likely out this week,

DNP: Larry Fitzgerald (groin), DeAndre Hopkins (hip), Julio Jones (hamstring), Willie Snead (ankle), A.J. Green (not injury related), Golden Tate (calf), D.J. Chark (shin), Collin Johnson (hamstring), K.J. Hamler (concussion), Keenan Allen (hamstring), Tyreek Hill (hamstring), Sammy Watkins (calf), Jakeem Grant (ankle), Cole Beasley (knee), Kenny Golladay (hip), Robby Anderson (groin), Brandon Aiyuk (ankle), Deebo Samuel (hamstring), A.J. Brown (ankle), Corey Davis (not injury related), Terry McLaurin (ankle), DeSean Jackson (ankle), Quez Watkins (rib)
Limited: Tyler Boyd (concussion), Sterling Shepard (rib), Allen Lazard (core, wrist), Marcus Johnson (quadricep), Michael Pittman (concussion), Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), Jalen Guyton (hamstring), DeVante Parker (hamstring), Keke Coutee (foot),
Full: Cordarrelle Patterson (knee), Allen Robinson (hamstring),

Week 17 is often a difficult week for fantasy football, as many teams could rest players. This season, we have more teams needing to play their starters than usual. There are three teams that look like they will rest at least some players though, as the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills don’t have much to play for.

The Chiefs have nothing to gain, while the Steelers and Bills can only move between the No. 2 and 3 seeds. The Steelers coach has already said that Ben Roethlisberger isn’t playing, which could make it less likely the Bills starters play a full game.

Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool should be off-limits this week in fantasy.

Here are the teams who need wins and will play their starters: Dolphins, Ravens, Buccaneers, Saints, Seahawks, Packers, Washington, Cardinals, Rams, Colts, Titans, Bears, Cowboys, Giants, and Browns

Injury news

Cole Beasley is week-to-week with a leg injury. He won’t play this week against the Dolphins.

Cooper Kupp is on the Covid-19 list. If he tested positive, he is out, but if he is a close contact, he has a chance to play against the Cardinals.

Brandon Aiyuk won’t play against the Seahawks due to an ankle injury.

Notable backups

Byron Pringle, Gehrig Dieter, James Washington, Ray-Ray McCloud, Andre Roberts and Duke Williams could see elevated work this week as their teams may rest starters.

Streaming options

Brandin Cooks, Texans

Cooks is Deshaun Watson’s favorite target when healthy and they’ll get a great match this week against a Titans team that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in the last eight weeks.

Van Jefferson, Rams

This is a bit of a stretch, but if Cooper Kupp is out, Jefferson will get a boost. He also will have John Wolford throwing to him, who he has had a lot of work with on the second team. The Cardinals have allowed the third-most fantasy points over the last eight-weeks, so the matchup isn’t limiting.
