We’re already getting a rematch between the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings, as the two Western Conference teams are set to face off at 10:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. The Kings won with an overtime tip-in by Buddy Hield in the first week of the season but the Nuggets are looking to avenge themselves and get to .500 on the year. The Nuggets had dropped their first two games of the season to the Kings Los Angeles Clippers but bounced back by topping the Houston Rockets. At this point, it’s clear Nikola Jokic can not be stopped and has a chance at a triple-double every game. While he’s been one of the most dominant players in the league so far Jamal Murray will be the player who decides the outcome of this game.
Murray shot just 34 percent from the field in the Nuggets’ losses but rebounded on Monday by scoring 21 points on 50 percent shooting. I can’t see the Kings’ guards replicating the terrible shooting they displayed in the season opener. Nuggets guards shot a miserable 32 percent from the field the first time these two sides met. Don't bank on that happening again.
Player Prop: Nikola Jokic O8.5 assists (-110)
I’m not saying Jokic’s average of 14 assists per game is sustainable he hasn't dropped below double-digits this season. Jokic is the only Nugget with more than five assists in a game this season, so his chances of eclipsing 8.5 for a fourth straight game are high. Jokic is running the offense more than ever and I have to see a team shut him down before I take the under on his assist total.
